Are you looking for a new, enriching hobby? The Bude Metric Brass Band invites you to join, and discover the joy of playing a brass instrument. Whether you’re a complete beginner, a lapsed player looking to rekindle your passion, or a seasoned musician, we welcome all skill levels in a supportive environment where everyone can grow musically and socially. Perform at concerts, local events and festivals, socialise with like-minded people, and bring the joy of music into your life. The band rehearse every Monday in the Parkhouse Centre at 7.30pm.

Beginners

We offer lessons and practice sessions to get you started, and being part of our band means joining a friendly group that values teamwork, shared goals, and fun. Music is known to boost mental health, enhance coordination, and reduce stress, bringing significant health and wellbeing benefits.

On Holiday in Bude?

Bude Metric Brass welcomes visiting players, especially during the busy summer and Christmas season. You’re also welcome to come for a “blow” at rehearsals. Join us any Monday evening (except August Bank Holiday) at 7.30pm.

Children are very welcome

Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding activity for your child? Have you ever considered joining a brass band? The Bude Metric Brass Band offers a fantastic opportunity for youngsters to learn or develop their skills, make new friends, and be part of a musical tradition that is as fun as it is fulfilling.

You can support Bude Metric Brass with a one off donation. It will be used to buy new music, provide instruments and teach young people, and to play for local charities, education establishments and retirement homes. Band members play entirely at their own expense.
